Philanthropic Councils

Discover the Power of Our Community

The Scarborough Hospital Foundation has formed a series of Philanthropic Councils. These groups bring together people of similar backgrounds and interests. The hospital grows stronger by hearing from the grassroots, and from the fundraising spirit of these councils:

Members will discover the power of joining their voices and giving together, all for our common interest, our health.

If you are interested in joining one of our Philanthropic Councils, please contact Guy Bonnell, Vice President, Community Development at 416-438-2911 ext. 6664 or gbonnell@tsh.to.

Event-Committees

Help Make a Difference

Events are one of the major ways to raise funds and awareness for the hospital – and our volunteers are the driving force behind them.

As a member of an Event Committee, you’ll be part of the critical behind-the-scenes strategies and logistics. Committees get involved in everything from scheduling and promotion to connecting with potential sponsors and selling tickets and tables. You’ll have a chance to share your expertise, and challenge yourself to grow your skills too.

Just some of these fundraisers include Scarborough World Cup of Golf, Scarborough Strides, Scarborough World Cup of Cricket and Scarborough World Gala. These events draw supporters and attention from across the community.

Check out some of our recent events. For more information, please contact Guy Bonnell, Vice President, Community Development at 416-438-2911 ext. 6664 or gbonnell@tsh.to.

Volunteer

Put the Fun in Fundraising

Get hands-on the day of an event. A few hours of your time can make a huge difference to how well an event runs – and to the lives of our patients. Volunteering at a Foundation event is a fun and rewarding way to give back. Duties range from welcoming and registering guests, to selling raffle tickets and promoting silent auctions. No experience necessary, just a smile and some enthusiasm.

To join our volunteer mailing list, please contact Sara Beaumont, Community Coordinator at 416-438-2911 ext. 8345 or sbeaumont@tsh.to. While we do not always have an immediate need, we would love to have your name on file to call.
